There have now been two meetings in Aldborough Village Hall to discuss setting up a ‘Friends’ organisation to work alongside English Heritage in the development and promotion of the existing museum site.
At the second meeting it was agreed to adopt the name ‘Friends of Roman Aldborough’ to reflect the importance of Aldborough as a civilian town, probably the most northerly in the Roman Empire. It was agreed that the museum would be the first project.
A steering group is being established and further information will be available soon.
