Aldborough Roman Day

A new heritage group in North Yorkshire called Friends of Roman Aldborough have just announced their first event.

This is the Aldborough Roman Day and is on the 1st September 2012.  There will be a range of activities during the day, including a Finds and Artefacts sessions; access to the Aldborough Roman Museum and in the evening there will be a public meeting when Professor Martin Millet and Rose Feraby will be showing the results of the Cambridge University three year geophysical survey of the town.  Last years meeting already produced headline news confirming the existence of a roman amphitheatre on the edge of the town.
