North Yorkshire Reminders

This week is a busy week in North Yorkshire  (What about West Yorkshire, I hear you say!!)

Tuesday 24th September:  The Joyce Hill talk will be going ahead in the Village Hall at Marton cum Grafton.  The subject is the ‘Harrogate Viking Hoard’.  The talk starts at 7.30, tickets are £5.00 including a glass of wine or something soft.

Thursday 26th September:   Tadcaster Historical Society Hadrian’s Wall – life in the Romanised North of Britannia : Jim Birdsall

Friday 27th September: Cambridge University are currently doing their fourth year of  Geophysical Surveying of Aldborough.  Professor Martin Millet and Rose Ferraby will be giving a resume of this year’s work and the continuing fascinating results at a talk 7.30 p.m. St Andrew’s Church, Aldborough – all are welcome!



The Romans Are Coming To Barnsley

Following the opening of the new Barnsley Museum, they are having a special exhibition of Roman Funds and Artefacts, together with a programme of Family Activities and Special Events and lectures.
