A project by Wakefield Historical Society to research the history and share the stories of life on Wakefield’s waterfront from 1700 to the present day.
Wakefield Historical Society invite you to join us at Wakefield Chantry Chapel to celebrate life on the Waterfront Saturday 19th October 2013
10am – 5pm Exhibition of project results
11.30 am Guided walk around the Waterfront
1.00 pm Folk singers ‘Clarty Sough’
2.30 pm Guided walk of bridges around the area
3.00 pm Folk Singers ‘Clarty Sough’
The Calder Navigation Society will offer boat trips on their boat ‘Savile’, subject to water conditions (small donations)
These events are free and open to all. Refreshments available.
The exhibition will also be in the Ridings Upper Mall on Thursday 17th and Friday 18th October from 10 am- 4 pm, and Saturday 19th October 10 am – 2 pm.
