WYHF are expecting quite a few projects like this to start in the near future and would like to help by publishing details of activities and events throughout Yorkshire. Let us know if you are aware of any and we can post the information and hopefully links to special websites.
In the meantime here is the Nidderdale project:
The new World War One Project Officer, Amanda Peacock, has organised a drop-in event in Masham this Saturday to launch the Heritage Lottery Funded First World War Centenary Project in Nidderdale.
Local residents have been invited to share their stories or objects relating to the First World War at the event and we are hoping to speak to those interested in volunteering to undertake historical research for the three year project.
The event will be held at Masham Town Hall on Saturday 16th November from 10am to 12pm.
For more information about this event or to find out about the project, please contact Amanda Peacock on 01423 551664 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
