Apologies for short notice regarding the first.

Thornton Le Street Success!!

We have been posting details as we get them for the series of workshops and talks around the theme of Roman Roads in Yorkshire being held at Thornton Le Street just north of Thirsk.

So far there has been a lot of support.  Mike Haken’s Roman Road Introduction was so successful that there was literally standing room only last Saturday.  Future talks will require advanced booking!

Bradford University Day Schools Autumn 2014

WYHF have received the following:

We have another exciting event scheduled for 18th October, which may be of interest to you.  Bradford in the 21st century explores the transformations that Bradford has undergone over the past two centuries, from a small West Riding town to a leading centre of the textile industry, and again to a post-industrial and multi-cultural metropolitan district.  The programme tutors hail from the University of Bradford and Bradford UNESCO City of Film.  The programme and booking form are available on our website:.

Bookings can be made by email or post.  We may be slow in responding to your enquiries over the next few weeks, as some of our staff will be out of the office during the month of September.  We will endeavour to reply to your enquiries as soon as possible.

As an additional announcement, the Day Schools team would like to welcome our new Coordinator, Claire Copper.  Claire will be taking over my role and will be happy to help with any queries that you might have about our upcoming events.  Please note that our email address <> is still the same.
